I recently stayed at Morgadio Da Calcada in Provesende for a weekend getaway. The staff was incredibly helpful and made our stay enjoyable. One of the highlights was having breakfast outside next to the vineyard, which provided a beautiful setting. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the shower was great. The hotel was well-maintained and clean, and the bathroom design was impressive. The breakfast included delicious natural juice and a heavenly chocolate cake. it was a fantastic experience and I will definitely return.

The views from the hotel were absolutely breathtaking, with stunning vineyards and beautiful countryside. the location was also great, allowing for easy exploration of nearby villages and vineyards. the staff were friendly and helpful, providing great recommendations for activities and making the stay even more enjoyable.
The breakfast options were quite limited and could have been improved with more variety. the pricing for certain items, like an espresso, seemed a bit high and could have been more transparent.

We had an amazing time at this hidden gem! The staff were outstanding, making us feel like part of the family. The location on a vineyard in a historic house was stunning. The rooms were elegant and comfortable, with a beautiful bathroom. The food was outstanding, especially the three-course dinners with their own port wine. The breakfasts were worth the stay alone, with homemade bread and eggs made to order. We loved the intimate atmosphere and relaxing by the fireplace. There were plenty of activities nearby, from walking along the river to a boat ride on the Douro River.
Felt very lucky to have found it, nothing to complain about.

For the price we paid, we got incredible value at Morgadio Da Calcada Guest House. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed with a mix of old and new. The location was stunning, nestled in the mountains of the Douro Valley, and the staff treated us like family, especially Manuel who shared his knowledge of the area, port wine.
The breakfast experience could have been better if there were more variety in hot food options.
